Alabama athlete on the mend
After being on the shelf for a few weeks Maplesville, Ala., athlete Anthony Johnson made his anticipated return at Mississippi State's camp.
The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder had some cartilage removed from his knee after basketball season wrapped and enjoyed being back on the gridiron for the first time in a while.
"I wanted to come out and have a little fun," Johnson said. "This was my first time competing this summer because I just had surgery done. I came out with my coach here to Mississippi State. They said I did a good job but I think just did alright. The running backs got me a little bit (in coverage) because I'm just now back from injury but overall I think I did good."
Naturally with a prospect with Johnson's size and stature there are a number of positions he could project at the next level. However there have been two spots on opposing sides of the ball that many schools see him at.
