Appleby working on consistency

CardinalSports.com For Louisville commitment Joshua Appleby, the kicking game is fairly new. After being a soccer player for seven years, the 6-3, 230-pound prospect from East Limestone H.S. (Ala.) decided to give it up to play football as a freshman in high school.
It seems like that decision has paid off for Appleby, who accepted a scholarship offer from UofL last month to join the Cardinals' program. Now he says he's "pure football" and has taken on the year-round task of becoming a Division I kicker. That year-round hard work has continued this summer.
